Under the supervision of the Joplin School District, Franklin Technology Center (FTC) focuses on career preparation for area high school students and non-traditional adult students. Opportunities are available for students who wish to acquire entry-level technical skills for immediate employment out of high school, advanced placement into postsecondary technical associate degree programs, or a technical foundation for a baccalaureate degree program.
FTC strives to set standards that ensure students are best equipped to handle the technical content of their chosen field of study, experience success, and acquire skills that maximize their abilities. Courses are made up of a mixture of in-class lectures and hands-on lessons.
Programs include practical nursing, surgical technology, respiratory care, automotive technology, collision repair, HVAC, welding, culinary arts, and more.
